Zeke Update 12/18/05

Hi everyone!

Sorry it's been awhile since our last update but things are going well. Zeke is currently on a feeding tube but he took his first bottle last night (and Mommy gave it to him!) and he's also doing a better job with digestion. Please continue to pray for his eating. Thank you for all of your prayers about his breathing--he's doing much better. We still don't have a specific date or time for the surgery other than we are looking at Monday or Tuesday. After surgery, the biggest obstacle for him to overcome will be eating on his own. He won't be able to go home until the feeding tube can be removed. If all goes well and he immediately begins eating after surgery, he will get to go home in two or three weeks. Please begin praying about Zeke's surgery and recovery. We would also like to ask for prayer as we are going home Tuesday and will be an hour away from the hospital and the baby for the rest of his stay. We just cannot begin to thank you all for your prayers. There have been SO many things that have happened that there is no explanation for other than God's hand. As most of you know, the name Ezekiel means "the strength of God" and God has definitely given His strength to this baby. My whole life I've heard that God won't give you more than you can handle, but sometimes He does. During those times we have no choice but to rely on Him to give us His strength. We serve such a faithful God. :-)

We love all of you and thank God for you and your prayers!

Brian and Melissa
